She was predeceased by: her husband James W. "Joe" Sayers; her parents, Clarence Ray and Mary Ann Grinstead Sturgill; and her son-in-law Dwight Barker. She is survived by: her daughter Mary Etta Barker of Chilhowie; her grandson Col. Christopher Barker; her great grandchildren, Geneva Barker, Calissa Barker, Aiden Barker and Alexa Barker; and her close friend Ron Sexton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fraziers' Seaver-Brown Chapel (237 E Main St, Marion, VA 24354). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Attoway Cemetery.
