He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Linda Sue "Susie" Robb; his wife Meldena Stacy Compton; his son Troy "Buddy" Compton of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Tony Stiltner (Stephanie, J. R. Stiltner), Regan, Suzanne Stiltner (Kyle) and Staci Perkins (Dan); his great grandchildren, Haley Stiltner, Katie Stiltner, Reid Stiltner, Kelsey Stiltner and Bailey Hamer; and his siblings, Pat Sayers (David) of Vansant, Irene Metz (Fred) of Gaston, SC, Adelaide Looney (Jerry) of Vansant and Tommy Compton (Helen) of Grundy. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
