He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Otis Dotson and Beulah Dotson; his wife Patty Dotson; his children, Sherry Dotson Witt (Billy) and Steven Dotson (Whitley); his grandchildren, Zachary Witt (Caitlin), Caroline Witt Hawes (Lucas), Peyton Dotson Hungate (Cade), Holt Dotson, Brody Dotson and Beckett Dotson; and his great grandchildren, Harper Lynne Witt, Charlotte Palmer Hawes and Riggs Kennedy Hungate.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Abingdon United Methodist Church (101 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
