He was predeceased by: his parents, Henson Pope and Hazel Price Pope; and his siblings, Dean Pope and Sandra "Sandy" Pope. He is survived by: his siblings, Debbie Hensley (Randy) and Ricky Pope; and his children, Deanna Pope, Josh Pope, Brittany Doane and Morgan Pope. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel (427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service (427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210).
