It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maude Ellen Cole (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Robinette and Annie Robinette (Earls). She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, Sylvia White, Angela Clawson (Scott) and Gary Cole (Karen); her grandchildren, Emily Cole Schweitzer, Cole Clawson (Rachael), Grant Clawson (Sabrina), Brandon LaPointe and Richard LaPointe; her great grandchild Claire Schweitzer; her siblings, Delcie Robinette Campbell, Jean Robinette Warren, Glen Robinette and Robert Robinette (Judy); and her pet Rex. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Christian Church of Abingdon, Virginia (185 Old Jonesboro Rd, Abingdon, VA 24210). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ellen's honor to the First Christian Church of Abingdon at 185 Old Jonesboro Road, Abingdon, Virginia, 24210, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
