He is survived by: his wife Lavone Widener Smith; his son Matt Smith (Amanda); his stepson Scott Widener (Robin); his sister Linda Hall (Rick); his brother-in-law Jerry Shaver; his mother-in-law Gail Fritz; his grandchildren, Ensley Smith, Greyson Smith and Brooks Smith; and his stepgrandchildren, T. J. Widener (Callee) and Kaylee Widener. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
