He was predeceased by: his parents, James Campbell Scott and Pauline Esther Stout Scott; his siblings, Sharon Scott, Jennifer Browning and Tony Scott; his brothers-in-law, John Browning and Tommy Scott; and his nephew William "Tiger" Shortt.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kay Scott; his daughters, Angie Scott Osborne (T. J.) and Kim Scott Jones (Billy); his grandchildren, Kaylynn Osborne, Jaimie Hale, Hannah Osborne, Megan Moore, Dayton Scott Osborne, Lindsey Deel and Carter Jones; and his great grandchildren, Amiyah Osborne, Rylee Moore and Winnick Hale.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
