With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janis Fay Honaker (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away on August 5, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thurston Layne and Hattie Mae Hill Layne; her husband Halford Honaker; her grandson Bentley Rylin Honaker; and her siblings, Janett Gay Layne, Jerry and Cecil Layne.
She is survived by: her children, Lester Honaker and Angie Honaker of Alexandria, VA; her grandchildren, Joshua Honaker (Denise) of Alexandria, VA, Lauren Gillison (Darnell) of Glen Allen, VA and Jake Howard of Henrico, VA.; and her siblings, James Layne of Alexandria, VA and Mae Bowman (Aldon) of Spotsylvania, VA.. She is also survived by family, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
