She was predeceased by: her parents, Ance Chaney and Jane Chaney; her husband Henry Steward Lester; her son Douglas Lester; and her siblings, Harriet Sue Harrison, J. D. Chaney and Paul Chaney.
She is survived by: her son Donald Lester (Linda) of Hurley, Virginia; her brother Leslie Chaney of Dinwiddie; and her grandchildren, Robin Quintana, Debra Lester, Scott Lester, Amber Justus and Aimee Dalton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with many special friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:50 PM at the Frost Funeral Home and Cremation Services (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). An entombment was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenhills Memory Gardens.
