It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Kay Richmond of Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Collins and Lucille Crawford; her husband Dwight David Richmond; and her sister Margie Beth Crawford. She is survived by: her friend Melanie Kay Blankenship (Tyler) of Riner, VA; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Nehlen and Major Blankenship; and her siblings, Glenda Neal (Jeff) of Bristol, TN, Mary Tignor (Johnny) of Bristol, TN and Graig "JJ" Collins (Peggy) of Bristol, TN.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel (427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St Jude's Research Hospital in celebration of Kay's life at stjude.org .
