He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Jackson and Virginia Woodard Jackson Harrington; his stepfather George Harrington; his brothers, William "Bill" Jackson and Larry Jackson; and his stepsister Betty Harrington.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Mersdorf Jackson; his children, Karen Hinson (Stanley) and Mike Jackson (Mary); his stepbrother Winston Harrington; his grandchildren, Collingwood Hinson and Parker Hinson; his family, Sarah Helton, Jennifer Payne, Lee Horne, William Denton, Eugene Wolfe and Dr. Joe Roop; and his caregiver Kristina.
A reception was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Farris Cremation & Funeral Center – Forest Hills Chapel (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210).
