He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hicks Taylor and Agnes Lucille Taylor; his daughter Tammy; and his siblings, Ray, Beverly and Marva.

He is survived by: his wife Valerie Jean Wright; his children, Judy Madsen (Paul), Ken Taylor (Janae) and Carl Taylor (Camille); his brother Merv Taylor; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Nate Mitchell, Jase, Shawney Taylor, Bo, Ali and Kirby Taylor.
