He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Udy and Mabel Arminta Pett; his stepmother Mary Bailey Udy; and his siblings, Carol Udy, Margaret Udy, Hanni (Kenneth), Ronald Dean Udy (Julie) and Dennis B. Udy (Marilee).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Udy; his sisters, Joyce Udy Weese and Doris Udy Foster (Stephen); and his children, Robert A. Udy (Rebecca), Vickie Ann Snow (Douglas), Susan Rebecca Pate (Alan) and Gail Jane Christensen (Todd). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
