He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J Simpson (Hank) and Edith Louise Madsen Simpson; his brother Jay; his brother-in-law Dean; his nephews, Kevin and Kurtis; and his son-in-law Bill.

He is survived by: his former wife Lucy Zabriskie; his sons, Kevin and Kurtis; his wife Mary M. Simpson; his siblings, Pete (Emma) and Paula; his daughter Konnie Gibson; his grandson JJ; his stepchildren, Janet (Don), Michael (Sue) and Elaine (Ramon); and his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Dustin, Jennifer, Jaime, Lindsay, Dylan, Michael and Alexis.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Valley View Memorial Park Chapel (4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120).
