She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest George Bates and Louise Sarah Butler; her husband Todd Matthews Shepherd; and her siblings, Leonora, Merrill, June, Orrin, Irvin, Neva, Steven, Velda, Wanda, Laura, Cloyd and Marvin.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanine Lewis, Marilyn Shumway (Steve), Georgia Rosquist (Gary), Matthew Shepherd (LeiAnn), Arlen Shepherd, Mitchell Shepherd (Morag) and Brian Shepherd (Malia); and her siblings, Derold Bates (Nyla), Twila Worthington (late Paul) and Carol Pyne (Charlie). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
