He was predeceased by: his daughter Shaunna Naylor (Peter); and his brothers, Gary Pesnell (Judy) and Jim Pesnell (Wilma). He is survived by: his wife Norma; his sister Barbara Kingsbury; and also, Gayla Pesnell, Lisa Smith (Hayden), Tammy Lloyd (Ken), Nona Blotter and Tye Pesnell (Shantel). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
