We bid farewell to Walter James Thomas of West Jordan, Utah, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 18, 2025 at the age of 96. Walter James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Thomas and Mary Thomas; his brothers, Daniel, Gerald, Byron and William; his wife Betsy Joy Willes; his children, Renee and Evan; and his great grandchild Tanner.
He is survived by: his brother John; his children, Candy Powell (Russell), Toni Martens and Lon Thomas (Beverley); his daughter-in-law Nola Philpot (Bob); and also Walter. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Latter-Day Saint Chapel (7645 S 3200 W, West Jordan, UT 84084).
