He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Elzinga and Hildur Elzinga; his wife Agnes Lewis Elzinga; and his children, Mark Richard Elzinga (Theresa), Nathan Eric Elzinga (Mandy), Tanya Lynn Patino (Dan), Jasmin Hayward (Keith) and Natalie Calaway (Cory). He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family has requested that lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Kansas State University, Entomology Dept., Manhattan, Kansas 66506.
