He was predeceased by: his parents, Noa Maugatai and Saini Utuoge; his wife Inna Schwalger Salea; his daughter Melissa Penina Salea; and his siblings, Vaipua Noa, Pu'epu'emai Melekeuli Pu'epu'emai, Kalama Pu'epu'emai, Fa'amanu Pu'epu'emai, Ioane Salea, Penina Salea Tuimaualuga and Tupu Salea.
He is survived by: his former wife Emma Laufou Salea; his children, Fred Frost (Shenna), Francis Frost (Veronica), Michael Sabir (Brielle), Seiki Filiaga (Elaine), Annisha Lealaitafea (Vaifoa Jr.), Ovini Salea (Bernadine), Heka Snuka (Jimmy), Lelei Salea and Sunshine Aumua; his nephew Sarona Salea (Leni); his niece Salote Salea; and his siblings, Mau'u Ioapo Pu'epu'emai (Loto Vui) and Fa'afetai Schuster (Aleki). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery (6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84084). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the LDS Sauniatu Samoan Ward (4950 S 1950 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84129).
