He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Maestas and Frances Maestas. He is survived by: his sons, Brandon Floyd Maestas (Kira), Jackson Gilbert Maestas (Amy) and Cooper D'Angelo Maestas (Ash); his significant other Barbara Miller; his significant other's children, James and Harley; his brother Mark Maestas; his nephew Matt Maestas; and his nieces, Frances Heaton, Ashley Singer and Melissa Dick-Maestas.
