He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Bangerter and Lydia Bangerter; his former wife Jean Winegar; his brothers, Junior and Del; and his granddaughter Angela Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Jay R. Bangerter (Kathi), Sheila McSwain (Dave), Jim Bangerter (Sherrie), Vonnie McSwain (Mark), Cheryl Hale (Fred), LaMar Bangerter (Sue), Tim Bangerter (Alisa), Bryce Bangerter (Jolinne), Brandon Bangerter (April), Jill Curtis (Keith), Kim Bangerter (CeCe) and John Bangerter (Jen); and his sister Beverly Lee. He is also survived by his fifty-three grandchildren; his ninety-eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
