He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oliver and Sarah Josephine Rounds Pierce; and his siblings, Oliver Rex, Arthur, Dean, Ellen Ruth, Bertha, Margaret, Norene, Richard, Marlene and Tess.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Becky Turley (Mark), Jeff Pierce (Margo) and Carol Wilde (J. D.); his sister Alene Wood; and his foster sister Donna Lou Lindberg. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren with one on the way, and one great-great grandchild.
