He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Johnston and Edith Johnston; his parents-in-law, Frank and Hazel Henderson; his brother Vion Johnston; his siblings-in-law, Colleen Johnston, Martin Hamaker, Larry and Wayne Henderson; and his nephew Dwayne Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife LaRaine Johnston; his children, Kathy Houghton (Patrick) of Carbonville, Gary Johnston (Cindy) of Orem, Ronald Johnston (Doris) of Price and Diann Willow (Leroy) of Mesa, Colorado; his sisters, Vonna Hamaker and Valynda Clark (Muggs); and his sister-in-law Moreen Henderson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two lovely great-great-granddaughters.
