With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernon Lee Drake of Washington, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 84. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vernon Lee may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Russell Drake and Sirrilda Marie Woods Drake; his siblings, Curtis Russell, Vera Marie and Melvin Melrose; his wife Dorothy Ann Giglio; his mother-in-law Margaret Martin; and his sister Mary Alice (Merlyn Boss).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel (288 W St George Blvd, St. George, UT 84770). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
