He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Jr. and Clara May Nunley Anderton; his daughter Liesa; his siblings, Ray Anderton (Cathaleen), Vivien, Carol Laturner (Bud), Theo, Cleo, Walter, Faye O'Niel (Charles), James Wallace, Betty, Bob (Charlotte), Sally Huffman (Ken), Donald and Gerald; and his former wife Janice Patricia Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Muriel Ekins Grant Anderton; his brother Ted J Anderton (Norma); his children, Kirk Anderton (Bonnie) and Holly Anderton; and his stepchildren, Michelle Cook, Pam Michaelson (Peter), Michael Grant (Lisa), Steven Grant and Krishna Jones (Tom). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
