John Carl Tuft Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Carl Tuft (Washington, Utah), born in Monroe, Utah, who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Tuft and Bernice Shurtz Tuft; and his siblings, Don, Helen Webster and Arlene Lawrence.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carlene and Christene; his wife Melody Cope Ackerman; and his stepchildren, Bryan Ackerman, Brett Ackerman (Tara), Kristi Fautin (Wade), Kami Madsen (Troy), Kaprece Staples (Shannon) and Kassi Gray (Travis). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In 1992 he was presented with a Southern Utah Honor Medallion for his contributions to his community and to the state of Utah, of which he was very proud.
