He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Isabel McFarland and Roy Ezra Brownson Sr.; and his brother George Brownson. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Alice Findlay; his children, Roy "Gene" Brownson (Chris), Robyn Stanger (Don), Pattiann Thomas and Sheryl Sherman; and his siblings, Julia May Taylor and Marin Brownson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
