He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Young; his son Rodney Butters; his parents, Pauline Fausett Butters and Vernon H Butters; his stepfather George Mayberry; his siblings, Jim Butters, Donna Newcomb and Emma Joan Barnes; his children, Brent Butters (Stephanie), Craig Butters (Merilyn), Mark Butters (Heidi) and Stacey Butters (Tammy); and his sister Sharon Evans. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
