He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Abbott and Louise Alberta Hofheins; and his siblings, James Abbott, George Abbott and Louise Corbett.
He is survived by: his spouse Chatharine Hinkins; his sister Mary June; his daughter Leslie Montoya; his stepson Greg Hansen; and his stepgrandsons, Tucker and Owen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
