He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Kurtz and Lynetta Kurtz; his siblings, Margie Gardner, Danny Kurtz and Devere Kurtz; and his stepdaughter Samantha Schaffner.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Leslie Kurtz, Wesley Kurtz and Ben Kurtz (Nicole); and his stepson Terry Jr. Schaffner (Jessica). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
