As Lorin departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lorin. Though Lorin may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Franklin and Carrie Burton Merkley; his brother Don; his wife Beverly Merkley; and his children-in-law, Tim Reynolds and Robyn Merkley.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Merkley (Robyn), Lisa Evans (Steve) and Terrel. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Maeser Stake Center (2745 1000 N St, Vernal, UT 84078). A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Rock Point Cemetery (2250 W 2500 N, Vernal, UT 84078).
