John Shumway Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Shumway in Vernal, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry John's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May John's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his sons, Robert John (Fredia) and Jason Duaine. He is survived by: his wife Connie Gardiner; his daughters, Launa (Chris Millecam), Jonelle, Kristi (Bodie Taylor), Veronica (TJ Morton) and Madison; and his brothers, Charles, Spence, Jed and Brad. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary (15 E 100 N, Vernal, UT 84078). A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Vernal Memorial Park (1700 S 500 E, Vernal, UT 84078).
