He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elwin and Rhoda Knight Merrell; and his grandchildren, Billy and LesLee Merrell. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; and his children, Patty Hodges (Charlie) of Vernal, Dan Merrell (Christy) of Vernal, Jeff Merrell (Andrea) of Vernal, Tammy Lee (Bruce) of Vernal, Terry Merrell (April) of Roosevelt and Joni Merrell of Middletown. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
