She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert Hermann Schimming and Martha Elisabeth Kennert Schimming; her sisters, Edith Kirsch and Waltraud Hansen; her daughter Jenny; her husband Hans Erwin Frölke; and her children, Wolfram Froelke (Karen), Gabriela Pirraglio (Patrick), Birgitt Murphey (Michael), Olav Froelke (Connie) and Monika Finlayson (Kurt).
