She was predeceased by: her mother Winifred Hancey; her children, Kathy Barney (late Jim), Sherry Anderson (Roger), Dede Gardner (Doug), Michael Isaacson (Stacie), Jeffrey Isaacson (Nichole) and Karen Rich (Ryan); her father Herbert W. Ziegler; her husband Burt; her son-in-law Jim Barney; and her great grandchild Kayden.

For years she served as the ward's humanitarian specialist where she crafted, sewed, and donated 100's of blankets.
