He is survived by: his former wife Kathy Nelson; his father Leon Carter (Judy); his son Brandon Dan Carter (Tia); his grandchildren, Brindee, Haylee, Abigail, Mercedes, Hayden, Weston, Wyatt and Ryleigh; and his siblings, Donetta Reed, Danene McNamara, DeVan Carter (Shar) and Delana Nelson (Joe).
