He was predeceased by: his parents, Gardner L Udy and Violetta Jane Hess Udy; his daughter Stephanie Udy Keyes; and his siblings, Odell, Ray (Ellerene), Dennis (Joan) and Phyllis Kunzler (Max).

He is survived by: his wife LaRita Nish; and his son-in-law Randy Keyes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Nelia and Steve Lindsay are so sad to hear of Bishop Udy's passing. He was truly a wonderful Latter-Day Saint and admirable leader. We remember our son Brian sitting on Bishop Udy's knee to receive some fatherly advice prior to his baptism. We also remember his many strong testimonies of the Savior in Fast and Testimony meetings. He was our first bishop upon moving to Tremonton from Vista, California, where in fact he served his mission. We feel a great loss.”
