He was predeceased by: his father Pedro Velasco Solis; and his brother Juan Solis. He is survived by: his mother Oralia Solis; his daughter Eulalia Garza; and his siblings, Jaime Solis, Rosaura (Rosie), Esperanza Solis (Rey Rodriguez), Juliana Blandon, Esmeralda Solis and Petrolena Hernandez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
