He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Miller and Katherine Jones Miller; his wife Lucille Hegstrom; and his sisters, Gwendolyn Bell (Ron), Catherine Lund (Keith) and Vesta Jo Salerno (John).

He is survived by: his children, Lewis Miller Jr. (Sheri), Rebecca Olsen (Ernest) and Karen Huish (Dyke); his sister Janet Mathie; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Miller (AJ), Tyler Miller (CJ), Colton Miller (Ariadna), Charles Clark (Tomilynn), Christopher Clark (Timmeri), Chad Thomas Clark (Amber), Candice Baron (James), Cheri Ambrose (Brady), Caitlin Warren (Tyler), Karina Geranios (Cody), Katherine Morris (Charles), Ellen Welch (Ryan), Samuel Huish (Kenna), Jane Huish, Anne Huish, Brandon Behrmann (Clara), Brian Behrmann (Michelle), Brindi English (Clint) and Brett Behrmann (Keren). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
