He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Barclay and Emma Pitts (Riding); his brothers, Robert Thompson Pitts and Franklin Dewey Pitts; and his daughter-in-law Terri Linn Pitts (Schmidt).
He is survived by: his wife Ilynn Pitts (Taylor); and his children, Joseph Michael Pitts (Elaine), David Barclay Pitts, Kenneth Taylor Pitts (Jill), Allen Keith Pitts (Sheryl) and Dianna Lynn Hansen (Chad). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and 4 Nephews.
