He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Don McDowell and Utahna Shirley Barney; his stepfather Charlie Broadhead; and his brothers, Don and Billy.
He is survived by: his significant other Tanny Memmott; his children, Delbert Renfro (Stephanie), Vineta Davis (Steve Crabtree) and John Renfro (Lacy Keetch); and his sister Mary Broadhead. He is also survived by 10 grand children, 8 great grandchildren.
