We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Marlin Ek (Taylorsville, Utah), born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Rushton Ek and John Marvin Ek; his close friend JoAnn; his sister Venae Duckworth; his son-in-law Thomas Hatch; and his grandson Aaron Hatch.
He is survived by: his children, Marla Bath (Lynn), Marsha Hatch, Shawn Ek (Madelyn), Kevin Ek (Berdette), Debra Bowen (Steven), Laura Whitworth (Barry) and Krista Mathison (Jason). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (4986 Valois Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84129). A prayer was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
