We bid farewell to Lester Nelson (Taylorsville, Utah), born in Brigham City, Utah, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 1, 2024 at the age of 69. Lester touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Nelson and Veda Nelson; his brothers, Micheal and Ron Nelson; his mother-in-law Mary A. Keys; and his brothers-in-law, John, Frank and Tom Rutkowski.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Emmalee (Julius Thompson) and Jon Nelson; his grandchildren, Kaitee, Sadee, Macee, Jace, Jairius, Zuree Thompson, Ryder, Connor, Olivia and Hailey Nelson; his siblings, Blaine Nelson (Ginger), Jerry Nelson (Debbie) and Paula Sheffield (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Rutkowski and Ruth MacDonald (Mike).
Viewing was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whitewood Ward (3555 W 5620 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84129). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Taylorsville Cemetery (4575 S Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123).
His service at Tiny Tims Foundation was something he always looked forward to.
