He was predeceased by: his parents, Masao Fukawa and Sen Fukawa; his wife Lucille Caudron Fukawa; and his son Robert Miles Shafto. He is survived by: his children, Debra Baty (Robert) of Taylorsville, Russ Fukawa, Kelle Valentine (Ron) of Ogden, Paul Shafto (Roxann) of Taylorsville, Russel Shafto (Sheri) of Robertson, WY and Sandra Shafto (Jeff McClure) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
