He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Virgo Bott and Mabel Dennis Bott; his son Joseph Craig Bott (Cindy); and his wife Carlene. He is survived by: his sister Carma Jones. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
