He was predeceased by: his parents, Seymour Oblad and Elizabeth Borgquist Oblad; his wife Sue Ann Julian; his siblings, Diane Naylor, June Beard and Dr. Briant Oblad; his son Brian James Oblad; and his grandson Tanner Oblad.

He is survived by: his children, Jeromy (Jody), Adam (Pam), Andy (Sandra), Brooke (Will) and Amy (Robby). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
