With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John David Gust Grangroth (Taylorsville, Utah), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bernard Grangroth and Oral Phyllis Grangroth; his brothers, Ronnie and Daryl "Dario" Grangroth; and his stepson Jeremy Ottley.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ottley; his siblings, Bruce Grangroth (Ann), LeAnn Clayton (Rick) and Wendy Weber (Brad); and his children, Stephanie Murdock (Brian), Robb Grangroth (Mary), Tricia Passey (Jeff), Ryan Grangroth (Jennie), Reed Grangroth, Jenni Simmons (Burke), Juli Beesley (Arik), Robyn Gale and Tiffany Browning (Randy). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
