He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber Cox and Gladys Cox; his sister Marlene; and his brother-in-law Reid Dimond. He is survived by: his wife Helga (Neumann); and his children, Robert, David (Catherine), Michael (Leah), Glenda Robertson (David) and Dan (Kristine). He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
