We are sad to announce that on July 4, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy Smith of Taylorsville, Utah, born in Salt Lake City, Utah. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Taylor and Lawrence Ahaz Jones; her son Aaron Benson; her husband James R Smith; and her siblings, Alice Jones, John T Jones, Lawrence A Jones, Pearl Hill and Lorna Evans Simister.
She is survived by: her brother Don; and her daughters, Debra Smith (Sandy Kaszowski) of Utah, Shelley Smith (Chris Tana) of Utah, Vicky Clark (Craig) of Utah, Jammie Smith of Utah and Holly Daugherty (Bob) of Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great-granchildren.
Finally, we are following the great idea of our sweet aunt, Therese "Tessa" Smith Canham: instead of sending flowers or making a donation, please spend the money on something for yourself and then tell people "Hey, look what Dorothy bought me!" or take your loved ones to dinner.
