He was predeceased by: his parents, Iral Mecham and Anna Rogers Mecham; and his siblings, Evelyn Howard, Roger, Betty Staley (James), Lois Jacobs (Robert) and Jeneal Boberg.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his siblings, Rex (Ilene) and Peggy Frost (Lemar); his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann and Mark; his children, Dee Jr. (Liz), Krista, Nicole and Bart; his grandchildren, Maya, Marysa, Sam and Quinn; and his great grandchild Micah. He is also survived by many in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
